Ashland Historical Society, 2 Myrtle St., Ashland, MA. Archaeologist and author Curtiss Hoffman will talk about his new book, “Stone Prayers: Native American Constructions of the Eastern Seaboard.” Thousands of stone constructs have been found scattered throughout the eastern seaboard of the United States and Canada. Dr. Hoffman explores the competing hypotheses for these formations, particularly the idea they were constructed as sacred places by indigenous peoples or the region. Please join us, all are welcome!
