The first week in December, all items will be donated to the Norwood Food Pantry and the Home for Little Wanderers Thrift Shop, in Roslindale.
In its inaugural year, this event yielded a tremendous a response and the generosity of Norwood residents was impressive. The local networking group were so proud of the Norwood community last year as the donations doubled with over 150 winter mittens, gloves, scarves and hats, most brand new with tags, many hand knitted, collected throughout the month. Two large donations were made to the Norwood Food Pantry to combine with their winter coat drive, and many bags were delivered to the Home for Little Wanderers Thrift Shop. According to the Norwood Food Pantry Donations Coordinator, these donations were greatly appreciated and helped many Norwood families keep warm during the winter months.
Look for the decorated boxes in the locations listed above. For more information, email [email protected].
