Norfolk-based Happy Feat Fundraiser recently donated $20,000 to Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer located in Framingham. Ovations’ mission is threefold. They seek to educate women about the often-dismissed warning signs of ovarian cancer. Their patient programs provide knowledge, hope and comfort to women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. And to a lesser degree, Ovations funds ovarian cancer research. Visit www.ovationsforthecure.org for more information about the organization.
Happy Feat is a unique ladies-only dance party fundraiser held annually in support of various charities. This year’s event was held on Friday, April 28 at Ambrosia Weddings and Events in Foxboro, and featured music, dancing, food, drawings, and auctions. Past recipients include New Hope, Inc., an organization that works with victims of domestic violence; Learn to Cope, a charity that supports families dealing with opioid addiction; Women to Women Partnership at St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children; Fisher House Boston; the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for brain cancer research; the American Red Cross; and the Michael J.
