Franklin Resident Honored as Santander Soccer Scholar

Local Student Rewarded at New England Revolution Match

As part of the Revolution & Santander Soccer Scholars program, which recognizes the outstanding academic and athletic achievements of New England students, Santander Bank honored Franklin resident Michael Fernandez at Gillette Stadium as the New England Revolution took on the Philadelphia Union.
As one of the winning applicants, Carol Martin received four tickets to the match to honor her star student as part of the Santander Soccer Scholars program. Michael had the opportunity to take a pre-match photo on the field at Gillette Stadium and stand on the sidelines and cheer on the Revolution as they entered the field.
Now through October 5th, 2017, adults can nominate a deserving student via an online entry form at: http://revolutionsoccer.net/santander-soccer-scholars. Thirty-five winners will receive a VIP match day experience, including four tickets to a designated New England Revolution home match, an on-field photo opportunity with a Revs player, and sideline access to cheer on the team as they take the field. One grand prize winner will receive a visit to the student’s school from Revolution star players, including a soccer clinic for the winner and their classmates, as well as $500 towards their education, in addition to the VIP match day experience.
