The Norfolk Community League and the Norfolk Lions announce ticket sale dates for the 17th annual Haunted Train Ride and Ghoul Bus. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, September 12 through Thursday, September 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Norfolk Public Library. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets are non-refundable and non-replaceable. No tickets will be sold at the event, and a ticket is necessary to enter the parking lot. Tickets are $6 each with proceeds distributed to worthy Norfolk causes and groups.
The popular event will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Holmes Bus complex on Myrtle Street in Norfolk. There is no rain date.
Participants travel through the woods on a haunted train and walk through the spooky Ghoul Bus. The event is geared towards kids from kindergarten through middle school. As the evening gets darker, the ride gets scarier! Burgers, hot dogs, snacks and sweets will be sold at the Haunted Café, and there will be music and entertainment while waiting in line to board the train. Costumes are encouraged, as well as a canned-food donation for the Norfolk Food Pantry.
Community groups interested in participating or teens needing community service hours can email [email protected], or contact Lynne Covel at 617-968-1856, Kim Shura at 508-367-7579, or Tom Grant at 508-541-4119.
