The Medway Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 29th this year, honoring Medway native and Vietnam veteran Major Richard Keogh (U.S. Army RET) as the honorary Grand Marshall. He will be introduced by John Larney, the Quartermaster of Medway V.F.W. Post 1526.
Step off for the parade will take place at 10 a.m. from the Medway V.F.W. on Holliston Street. The parade will feature two divisions, with two different bands, the Worcester Kiltie Band and the Medway High School Band, ending at Col. Matondi Square, where a Memorial Day service will take place, with invocations by clergy, the Pledge of Allegiance by Medway Scouts, the National Anthem by Alexis O’Hanian Minot. Medway Board of Selectmen will offer a proclamation, followed by roll call. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place at Medway Village Church, at 11 a.m.
