Spirit and fun capture the essence of what so many experienced with Mohawk Pride’s 3rd annual 3v3 basketball tournament held on April 1st and the Comedy Night and Silent Auction which was held on March 18th. Over 35 teams with members ranging from grades 3 - adult participated in the 3V3 basketball tournament. Team spirit was abound as players with creative team names and decorated T-shirts eagerly entered the Millis High School gymnasium. Players competed for top prizes in each age group, demonstrating both spirit and determination in an atmosphere alive with cheers, laughter and rock and roll music. The concession stand was filled with delectable delights courtesy of many Moms, along with donations from generous local merchants, Roche Bros., Dunkin Donuts (Millis), Muffin House, Starbucks, Donut Express, Uno’s (Bellingham), Isabella’s, as well as donations from Northeast Signature Properties and the Millis Booster Club. Special thanks to Danielle Alachi and Amy Daniel for the concession stand success and to our major event sponsors, Mass Premier Courts and Northeast Signature Properties.
Uproarious laughter and fun marked the March 18th Comedy Night, hosted by Boston’s Legendary Comedian, Tony h. The evening boasted a Silent Auction with over 50 items ranging from Celtics and Red Sox Tickets to massages and pedicures. Mohawk Pride appreciates the generosity of so many who donated tickets, services and goods which helped make this event such a success:

A great big thank you to those who participated in these wonderful community events! Through its fundraising, the generosity of its donors, and the participation of members of the community both young and old, Mohawk Pride has been able to fund a number of things which support the development of Varsity Coach Paul Adams’ goal of a strong, community-based basketball program in Millis. In addition to helping to fund a new scorer’s table for the high school gym, Mohawk Pride provides an annual scholarship to a graduating Millis High School senior, provides scholarships at their annual Mohawk Pride Basketball Week Summer Camp, and has been able to partner with the community to help fund 4 new glass backboards at the Clyde F Brown Elementary School.
