April is a busy month at the Fiske. Visit the library’s website for a full list of programs: www.fiskelib.org. The Fiske Public Library is located at 110 Randall Road in Wrentham.
Senior Art Exhibit The Wrentham Senior Center’s artists will hold their spring art exhibit on Saturday, April 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Sweatt meeting room.
Southwick Zoo Reopens The zoo reopens on April 8 for the 2017 season. Get discounted tickets sponsored by Friends of the Fiske. Tickets are $15, no limit for Wrentham library card holders (limited 2 for non-Wrentham card holders). Tickets do no expire.
Spring into Action and Song Jackson Gillman, aka the Stand-up Chameleon, performs comedy, music, dance, and mime for ages pre-school to Grade 4 on April 20 at 3 p.m. Program is free but a canned-good donation for the food pantry is suggested. Tickets available at the circulation desk.
Toddler Play N Learn Gina McGarrigle’s monthly program will offer hands-on activities, exploration, and imaginative play for ages 12 months to 30 months (with parent/caregiver) on April 11 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Program is free but a canned-good donation for the food pantry is suggested. Tickets available at the circulation desk.
Cooking with Sandhya A demonstration about the art of Indian cooking will take place on April 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Attendees will get a full meal with two entrées, rice, and chai tea. Call to register: 508-384-5440.
Documentary Film Once-a-month film session will take place on April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Sweatt meeting room. Most films are an hour in length.
Foreign Film Monthly foreign film will be shown on April 26 at 7 p.m. in the Sweatt meeting room.
Evening Book Group This month’s meeting will discuss Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave on Thursday, April 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Sweatt meeting room. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk.
