Event:
The Walk’n Mass Volkssport Club invites the public to its traditional group “Soup Walk.” The walk is noncompetitive and participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace along a marked route. Walkers are offered a choice of walking one or two 5 km (3.1 miles) loops. All participants are invited to join the Soup Social after the event, which is sponsored by club members. The first loop visits downtown Norwood, entering the town square with several veteran memorials and a central gazebo. The walk route returns through residential areas. The second loop travels through Highland Cemetery, and Oak View, the home of former Governor Frank G. Allen which is now a Doll House Museum and through the Norwood High School grounds and some impressive older homes. Leashed pets are welcome and clean-up laws apply. For further information contact Margo at 508-222-1152, [email protected] or visit the club web site at www.walknmass.org.
