The toe-tappingest, foot-stompingest group ever to grace the Cole Roomwill be back at the Medway Public Library Sunday March 26, 3-5 p.m. Southern Rail’s performances are high-energy exuberant fun, with riveting harmonies, irrepressible humor and sparkling banjo, mandolin, and guitar solo work. Bring the whole family!
The Friends of the Medway Public Library are sponsoring this benefit concert to raise money for the Library.
Easy access and a big indoor lobby make this a perfect “trial concert” for children who might not be able to sit through a concert in a more formal setting, since parents can take them out to the lobby where they can dance to the music.
Audience members have the opportunity to mingle with band members at intermission and after the show. For new fans and old, Southern Rail, CDs and a DVD of one of their concerts will be on sale at intermission.
Southern Rail’s recordings have climbed to #11 on Bluegrass Unlimited’s Top Thirty Single’s Chart, and have hit #1 on a number of radio stations across the nation.
Southern Rail concerts often sell out, so advance purchasing is recommended. Tickets are $10 adult, $5 student, under 12 free. Refreshments will be available at intermission for a small donation.
