Ashland Farmers Market (AFM) will host a Pre-Thanksgiving holiday market, Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Ashland Middle School cafeteria, 87 W. Union St. (Rt. 135). Shoppers can stock up on foods for the cold months from 21 food vendors and order pies and cakes for their Thanksgiving table. In addition, 11 artisans will bring winter accessories, jewelry, candles, lavender, pottery, and holiday-themed specials to make finding the perfect gift just a little bit easier. AFM gift certificates will also be available from the market host table.
Visitors can lunch, snack, and shmooze with their neighbors and friends at a special seating area. Crepe-maker La Maison a Gateaux and baker and chocolatier Dulce D Leche will offer lunch and snacks.
Bringing their fall harvest are Arcadian Farms of Holliston, Long Life Farm of Hopkinton, and Upswing Farm of Ashland. Shoppers can stock up with honey, maple syrup, mushrooms, sauces, cheeses, pasta, fish, pickles and jams, meats, healthy snacks, and of course, a variety of sweets.
Upswing and Long Life farms off the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP). The market host table matches the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) up to $20 per day.
