The Ashland Select Board voted in April to postpone the May 19 annual town election due to COVD-19. The new date for town elections is Wednesday, June 24.
Early voting by mail is available to all registered voters in Ashland for this election. The town strongly urges residents to take advantage of early voting by mail to easily and safely vote during the pandemic.
To vote early or by absentee ballot, complete the 2020 Municipal Election Early Ballot Application available on the town website, www.ashlandmass.com/219/Elections-Voting. Once you complete and sign the application, return it as soon as possible to town hall by faxing it to 508-881-0145; emailing it to [email protected]; mailing it to 101 Main Street, Ashland, MA 01721; or dropping it in the payment drop box located at the side entrance of the Ashland Town Hall.
Once the town clerk receives your application, a ballot will be mailed to the address you provide. Please return your ballot by mail, or by using the drop box located at the side entrance of the town hall parking lot.
For your ballot to be counted, it must be received by the town clerk before the polls close on June 24. Town election ballots may not be emailed for any reason. If you wish to vote in person, go to your precinct on Wednesday, June 24. Note that ballots may not be emailed for any reason or returned to the polling location.
For more information and to obtain the ballot application, visit the town website, www.ashlandmass.com/219/Elections-Voting or call the Town Clerk’s Office at 508-881-0100 ext. 7127.
