The Town of Millis has received a copy of a bona fide offer of sale of approximately 128 acres of land on Orchard St. on which the Glen Ellen Country Club is located. The proposed sale is by the Glen Ellen Company LLC to Toll Brothers, Inc. The proposed purchase price is $13,000,000.00 The Town of Millis holds a right of first refusal on the sale of the land. The Millis Board of Selectmen is holding a hearing on February 10, 2016 at 7:30 PM at the Millis High School/Middle School auditorium (245 Plain St.) to discuss whether the town should exercise the right to purchase the property. The public is welcome to attend and participate in the hearing. Due to equipment upgrades in progress at the location, the hearing will not be broadcast live on public access television. It will be taped and aired at a later time.
