Dr. Anna Nolin, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching Learning and Innovation, spoke to the Natick High Class of 2016 at graduation on June 10:
“. . . I am going to give you some graduation advice that is not traditional, as does not talk about your careers or academic achievements or how not special you are or how you just need to suck it up and enter the real world to make a mark. I am going to talk to you about modern love—the love lessons I have learned from you in the Natick schools.
“You come from this hotbed of love and community that should define modern love. And now, you must go out into the world as newly-minted adults and spread the Natick brand of modern love as far and as wide as you can. Join groups, connect with others, serve others, talk and talk more, serve and serve more—participate, connect and through these relationships, you, too, will come to own the power of modern love.
“Thank you for the lessons, the joy and the journey. Love and miss you already—now go spread the Natick Brand of Modern love.”
