Presentation on Community Preservation Act (CPA)

Presentation on Community Preservation Act (CPA) Norwood Police & Fire Station, Community Room, 136 Nahatan St. 7 p.m. “Learn the ABCs of the CPA” is a forum designed to help Norwood’s voting public gather information about the Community Preservation Act (CPA). Question 5, asking Norwood’s support to adopt this legislation, is on the ballot for November 8, 2016. The League has arranged a panel of speakers to provide information about the benefits of the law, the negative side of adopting this law, how the surcharge will be assessed to residents, and how the CPA has evolved in a neighboring community, which adopted the CPA three years ago. This event is sponsored by the Norwood League of Woman Voters, and is free and open to the public.
