The popular program “Minds in Motion” will be coming to the Norfolk Senior Center this month. Hosted by Jerry Cianciolo, a writer, editor, and publisher, the unique 8-session program is designed to spark engagement and spirited discussions on a variety of topics. Offering a new alternative to the typical lecture-based programs at most senior centers, “Minds in Motion” helps develop group dynamics as participants are encouraged to think in new ways. According to Cianciolo, the program is designed to “take the stuffiness out of lifelong learning courses by combining the stimulation of a college workshop with the fun of a backyard barbeque.”
The first Thursday session is scheduled for March 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. Participants must commit to attending 6 of the 8 sessions, but will receive a full refund of the $20 program fee if they attend all the sessions. Advanced registration and payment is necessary. March 3 is the deadline to register for the program and space is limited. For more information and to register, call the Norfolk Senior Center at 508-528-4430 or sign-up at the center’s front desk (payment will be due at that time).
