Sweatt Beach on Lake Pearl welcomes residents and non-residents for swimming and recreation throughout the summer. The public beach, located off Woolford Road in Wrentham, is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
Daily fees are $5 for adults and $4 for children, regardless of residency. Daily fees are payable in cash only.
Seasonal family passes are available for $125 for Wrentham residents and $150 for Norfolk and Plainville residents. Season passes are available for purchase at the beach, cash or check only.
Considered a hidden gem in town, the beach has undergone several renovations in the last few years, as a result of Eagle Scout projects by local Boy Scouts. The Sweatt Fund, Wrentham’s main trust fund, has provided monies for new fencing to further enhance the area.
Sweatt Beach has partnered with Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) to offer kayak and paddleboard rentals, as well as lessons provided by EMS Outdoor Schools.
Kayak and paddleboard rentals are open seven days a week through Labor Day, and kayaks and paddleboards are available for any size paddler. Rentals are first come first serve and include paddle and PFD. No experience is needed to participate and no reservations are required.
In addition to rental, EMS also offer lessons in basic kayaking and paddleboard technique, and SUP Fitness classes for anyone looking to work up a sweat. Professionally trained and experienced instructors work closely with students to ensure proper technique, ensuring an enjoyable experience. Classes run weekly and reservations can be made online at www.emsoutdoors.com or by calling 800-310-4504.
