The King Philip Reunion 5K Run, which will benefit the KP Hall of Fame, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, starting at 9:30 a.m. at King Philip Regional High School.
The race is open to everyone (no age restrictions) and is specifically designed for past, present and future KP students, staff and alumni.
The cost to register is $25 for adults; $15 for current KP and KP Middle School students; and $10 for youths 10 years old or younger. Sign up at www.active.com by searching for KP.
Registration will be conducted on site at the high school on Aug. 5 but pre-registering on-line is strongly recommended. For Facebook, search King Philip Reunion 5K Race.
Multiple awards will be given for the male and female overall winners and also for the top three in a variety of age categories. Pre-register as soon as possible because there are a limited number of T-shirts available.
The course, which will include two water stations, starts at the high school, runs down Franklin Street to Creek Street, then through the center of Wrentham to the finish at the high school. This is a certified 5K race with automated timing. Mile and two-mile splits will be provided.
