The popular program “Minds in Motion” will be coming to the Norfolk Senior Center once again this fall. Hosted by Jerry Cianciolo, a writer, editor, and publisher, the program is designed to spark engagement and spirited discussions on a variety of topics. Offering a new alternative to the typical lecture-based programs at most senior centers, “Minds in Motion” helps develop group dynamics as participants are encouraged to think in new ways. According to Cianciolo, the program is designed to “take the stuffiness out of lifelong learning courses by combining the stimulation of a college workshop with the fun of a backyard barbeque.”
The program will be held on Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. on September 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12, 19, 26; and November 2. Registration is limited to 15, and spaces fill up quickly. Call the Senior Center to register or stop by the desk. Program fee is $20.
To receive a full listing and schedule of all the activities at the senior center, call 508-528-4430 or visit the Council on Aging at www.virtualnorfolk.org. The Norfolk Senior Center is located at 28 Medway Branch Road and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
