Holiday Lighting Contest Underway

The battle for the best Christmas lights is on! Back by popular demand, Battle of the Bulbs returns to Norfolk this holiday season.
The contest encourages residents to decorate their homes with Christmas lights, with proceeds going to Hungry for the Holidays, an initiative benefiting needy area families.
Participants pay $20 to enter a home in the contest, and then the community votes on its favorites. Entrants will need to have their lights on from dusk to 10 p.m. for public viewing. Voting takes place thru December 16.
The top three winners will receive $100, $50, and $25 in gift certificates.
Last year, close to $1,000 was raised and 100% of the funds were distributed to Norfolk families in need.
